#01 Beex Project Restart: New beginnings and exciting projects
A update on what we've been doing, and what's to come for the photography and visual art community
Hello everyone 👋 ,
I hope this newsletter finds you well. It's been a while since we last communicated, and I wanted to take a moment to update you on what's been happening with Beex Project.
Many of you may have thought the project had closed down, but we took a break. 2022 was a special year for me, and I wanted to take some time to reflect on what we had accomplished and where we wanted to go next.
I launched Beex Project in November 2020 intending to create a photography and visual art community. Over the past year, we have achieved a lot of great results and growth. We published 2 books and 2 fanzines, recorded 160+ podcasts with interesting guests, and published hundreds of interviews.
However, I realized that what was missing in the project was discipline and organization. So, I took this break to figure out what was working and what wasn't, and how to make the project cleaner and more efficient.
The first step was to get the project in order and migrate to Substack, which will now be the home for our podcast and articles. We also plan to restart our Meetup group, with the addition of a new group in Berlin and another in Naples, and reactivate our weekend meetings.
The next step will be to reactivate our social media and content production, primarily related to the Substack, website, and podcast. And we're also planning to restart interactive plans for photography workshops, both physical and remote.
New beginnings and exciting projects
In conclusion, we're excited to announce that our publication will be continuing and that you can find all of our previous articles on Substack.
We're also working on a variety of resources for photographers, including agreement templates, cold emails to find new clients in different industries, and video courses on book/fanzine production.
Additionally, we're building a large database of photography-related information, including photographers, books, cameras, film rolls, and video resources. If you have any suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via email.
As we move into the first quarter of the year, we're focused on restructuring and re-organizing our project to make it even better. After the publication of our current book project, we're planning to take on one large book project that will allow a thousand photographers to showcase their work and be published in a single, comprehensive book.
If you're interested in having your book edited and designed by us, please don't hesitate to reach out for more information on fees and prices. We want to make sure that we can help each other reach our goals. We will no longer refer to our project as a non-profit because in the past years, it was not helpful for us and we have expenses, so we want to keep our services affordable without compromising on the quality of our work.

We'll be announcing more details on our social media soon, so stay tuned!
Thank you for your patience and continued support. We're excited to be back and can't wait to share all the great things we have planned with you.

P.S. If you find that these emails are no longer of interest to you, please feel free to unsubscribe. We understand that everyone's interests change and we respect your decision.
Additionally, we want to let you know that we will be reducing our presence on social media platforms like Instagram. Despite spending a lot of money and time on these platforms in the past, we never saw the results we were hoping for. Instead, we will be focusing more on engaging with our audience on Substack and Twitter.
